Description
On this Royal Palace of Turin guided tour, your guide waits for you at the front of the building and you walk in with a priority entry ticket, leaving the queue behind. The palace was the home of the House of Savoy, and the visit of about 90 minutes takes you through the rooms where the Dukes of Savoy once lived.
Indoors, the guide points out the luxurious decoration and furnishings, room after room.
- The royal apartments
- The ballroom and the throne hall
- The gallery
- The Holy Shroud chapel
You finish outdoors, in the gardens. The palace belongs to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the commentary supplies the stories behind the halls that a ticket alone would never give you.
The tour is in English and may run with a bilingual English and Italian guide. Guide and entry ticket are included; food and drinks are not. It suits anyone who wants the main rooms explained.
