Description
A Sacro Monte di Belmonte vineyard tour suits anyone who wants to combine nature, views and a food and wine tasting in one outing. It lasts about three hours and begins at the winery, where you are welcomed before climbing into an off-road vehicle.
The vehicle takes you to the vineyards within the nature reserve that protects Sacro Monte di Belmonte, listed by UNESCO. The route follows the circuit of the La Felce Reale Nature Trail along the south-east-facing slope of the Sacro Monte, an arid, rocky and uniform stretch of land. Each stop is tied to the style of the wines from the three areas, so the places, the scents and the people behind them explain what ends up in the glass. Technicians from the vineyard and the cellar accompany you throughout.
