Description
For a wine tasting near the Egyptian Museum in Turin, this wine bar in the old town is only a couple of minutes from the museum's exit. It suits a one-hour break after the galleries, when you want to sit down and taste Piedmont rather than read about it.
Unlike a fixed tasting menu, you choose your own three glasses from a dedicated list. The selection runs from fresh, mineral whites to intense, structured reds, so wine enthusiasts and the simply curious can find something to their taste.
Your glasses come with a local platter of quality cold cuts and cheeses. The bar's staff, who speak English and Italian, tell the history and character of each grape variety you have chosen, turning a simple aperitif into a small lesson in Piedmont. The tasting includes:
- three glasses of Piedmontese wine of your choice
- a platter of cured meats and cheeses
- a reserved table inside or on the outdoor terrace
- mineral water
Please report any allergies or intolerances when booking. Only adults can take part in the tasting, while minors can join the table and order from the restaurant's menu.
