Description
The Underground Turin tour lets you see the city from below. A guide takes you about fifty feet down into the City Downstairs, which more than once gave shelter to the people living above. Expect between two and a half and three hours.

Entrance goes through an exclusive opening, and both the tickets and the guide are part of the booking. The descent feels like a trip to the centre of the earth and adds a different layer to a city otherwise seen at street level.
A few rules apply underground. Tripods and other bulky equipment are normally not allowed, flash is off limits in some areas, and filming inside the tunnels is forbidden. The tour suits ages 6 and up. Languages offered include English, Italian, German, Spanish, French and Japanese. Choose it if you like history that happens away from the postcards.
