Description

The statue of Vincenzo Gioberti was created in 1859 by Albertoni Giuseppe Varallo using Carrara marble, red granite, bronze and iron. It is located in the context of Piazza Carignano and is not in perfect condition.
Vincenzo Gioberti, born in Turin on April 5, 1801 and died in Paris on October 26, 1852, was an Italian priest, politician, and philosopher and the first President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Kingdom of Sardinia; he was one of the main figures of the Italian Risorgimento.
